As a designer I have a lot of iron, including Sedu, HAI, infra Shine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.
In terms of performance - are the best: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, infra Shine, GHD. This is the top of the line professional brands
Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are the trademarks of consumers that cheap can be found in the pharmacy. If you care about your hair, do not buy it.

DO NOT GET CHI. My family consists of 5 CHI seen in 3 years. Chi breaks within a few months and you pay $ 35 plus shipping for the repair. The warranty is useless!
